With our global client base there are many opportunities for travel and for longer assignments both within Germany and overseas. Tasks Our Spacecraft Control and Operations business unit in Darmstadt, Germany, are seeking to employ Build Engineers that design, implement, maintain, and operate development and build environments and processes for complex ground systems. The tasks of this role will include Design, implementation, maintenance, and operation of o issue management systems, e.g. JIRA o source code management systems, e.g. git o code review systems, e.g. Gerrit o build repository systems, e.g. SonaType Nexus o configuration management systems, e.g. Puppet o build management systems, e.g. Jenkins o deployment management systems, e.g. Jenkins o static code analysis tools, e.g. SonarQube o IPR verification tools, e.g. TripleCheck Preparation of technical documentation, Collaboration with the client, users, and subcontractors Experience and Knowledge The successful candidate should have experience in designing and looking after the above mentioned systems and be confident interacting with customer stakeholders at all levels of the organisation. Essential skills include University degree in Information Systems Engineering or equivalent, Excellent problem solving capability, Willingness to take ownership of matters and to drive them forward, Familiarity with the administration of tools such as JIRA, Confluence, git, gerrit, Puppet, Jenkins, Nexus, SonarQube, TripleCheck, Familiarity with the configuration of virtual environments using VMware technology, Familiarity with scripting languages such as bash, Perl, Python, Indepth knowledge of Linux, Experience working in a multicultural environment, Passion for space and defining complex systems, Aspiration to learn and improve skills and capabilities, Fluency in both written and verbal English. Desired skills include Experience working with space mission ground systems.
