This position, based near Frankfurt in Germany, calls for experience of the European space industry, English and French language capabilities and high level secretarial skills. Our client is responsible for establishing and operating weather forecasting and Earth observation satellite programmes with associated data telemetry and dissemination operations. Vast quantities of data are produced and user communities throughout the world are able to access both current and historical data sets. The demanding realtime environment places much emphasis on adherence to quality and configuration management standards and procedures. The role will embrace Support to a secretariat including minute writing in English of various meetings Occasional travel to locations outside of Germany The key experience and attributes sought are University degree or equivalent qualification An adequate understanding of relevant technical and scientific issues A perfect knowledge of French and English Some knowledge of European meteorological satellite programmes, or spacerelated organisations Knowledge of Word and Outlook Experience of STENO and of the preparation of meeting minuteswould be advantageous. This is a freelance contract assignment with an initial period of one year starting in May 2013 with two options to extend for further periods of one year each.
