Internship Transition ASI to IP multicast Luxembourg Betzdorf Context 23 month internship or 6month internship, starting in April 2019 This is an exciting opportunity to become part of the ground operation engineering team in a fastpaced, global organization within an innovative and unique industry. Based in Luxembourg Betzdorf, you will contribute to exchanging the transport stream distribution of the SES backhaul from ASI to IP multicast. Your responsibilities Analyze the current ASI video distribution installation in the SES backhaul Find out the current and required capacities of transport stream routing in backhaul at SES Compile knowhow of IP multicast networks and ASI to IP transition Probability to setup IP multicast test platform in the lab Cisco Performance test and analyses of transport stream distribution over IP multicast Your profile Being an advanced Bachelor Masters student in Information Technology or in a relevant technical area Strong interest in the mediatelecommunication business and technical interest in satellites Excellent analytical and judgment skills, experience with IP networks especially IP multicast and video streaming Ability to set priorities and to work under tight deadlines Computer literate MS PowerPoint, Excel, Access Work independently as well as in a team Easiness to communicate at all levels Fluency in spoken and written English with additional languages considered an asset. Astro Malaysia adopts Broadpeak's multicast ABR technology

Broadpeak is working with Astro Malaysia to strengthen the latter's OTT video delivery service through its multicast ABR solution. Astro is using the solution to distribute 20 MPEG-DASH live channels to Android TVs and iOS and Android tablets and smartphones.
