Dutch broadband grows to 6.79 million connections

(Telecompaper) The number of Dutch broadband connection has grown by 0.6 percent during the first quarter of this year reaching 6.79 million connections on 31 March, according to Telecompaper's quarterly report. Cable and fibre continued to grow enough to off-set the decline in DSL lines as cable grew 1.6 percent to 3.13 million connections. DSL lost 1.2 percent ending March with 3.007 million lines and fibre saw the number of broadband lines grow 4 percent during the quarter to end it with a market share of 9.6 percent of all broadband connections.

Dutch cable broadband lines reach 3 million mark study

(Telecompaper) The number of cable broadband connections in the Netherlands has grown by 0.7 percent during the second quarter of this year to 3.01 million on 30 June, according to Telecompaper's quarterly report on the Dutch consumer broadband market. The total broadband market increased by 0.5 percent or 36,100 net additions during Q2 to reach 6.69 million lines including 3.11 million using DSL networks, which decreased by 1 percent during the quarter. FTTH/B connections grew by almost 9 percent in the same period ending the second quarter of an 8.4 percent market share.
