Members of HART® Communication Foundation and Fieldbus Foundation™ approved merger proposed by their respective boards via voting process that concluded on August 30. New corporation, FieldComm Group, will be led by board of directors composed of representatives of collective companies from current boards of each foundation. CSX says it warned film crew members killed and injured making movie about musician Gregg Allman

Jacksonville-based CSX Transportation twice denied producers of a biographical movie about singer Gregg Allman permission to shoot on its railroad tracks before a freight train slammed into the film's crew in south Georgia, killing one worker and injuring six, the company said in court documents. Legal filings in Chatham County State Court mark the first time Florida-based railroad operator CSX has made any publicly available statement about the Feb. 20 crash involving one of its trains and the crew of the movie "Midnight Rider."

Recommending movies and TV shows you've watched on Netflix to individual Facebook friends just got easier. The company on Tuesday launched a new social recommendation feature that lets users pick and choose the contacts they'd like to interact with after viewing a video. "It makes more sense that way," Jan Dawson, chief analyst with Jackdaw Research.

4-H Members Receive Merck Awards For Ag Advocacy

Four top 4-H members were proud winners of the inaugural Young Advocates for Agriculture Award, sponsored by Merck Animal Health. The Merck award recognizes grassroots efforts by 4-H members to support agriculture. Sarah Schuster of Dane County, WI, was the inaugural award winner. She was honored for educating youth leaders and other 4-H members about the significance and value of science and technology in agriculture. Other finalists were Jacob Newkirk of Cumberland County, NJ, and Margaret Brownell and Kaylah Gulley, of Washington County, NY. read more
