This week Biloxi City Council members will vote on a resolution authorizing a sub-grant agreement with the Mississippi Department of Environmental Quality regarding funding of Popps Ferry Boat Launch Park. The Mississippi Department of Environmental Quality is offering the $4 million grant provided by BP and available to the city to improve the boat launch park.

Portion of Century Boulevard leaving LAX closes starting tonight

A half-mile stretch of eastbound West Century Boulevard will be closed to allow the replacement of a Southern California Gas Company natural gas pipeline between Aviation and Avalon boulevards. The closure will begin at 11 p.m. today and continue to 6 a.m. Sunday, SoCalGas spokesman Joe D'Anna said.

Swimming advisory issued for portion of Gulfport beach due to high bacteria levels
