Alcatel Lucent has released figures showing that in the first half of 2015 the number of security threats on mobile networks have come increasingly from a seemingly unlikely source personal computers and laptops. The research also found a significant increase in the number of 'spyphone' apps being detected on both Android and iOS mobile devices.

NSW Regulation Minister Victor Dominello believes Vodafone's attempts to lay the blame on a former employee are "offensively inadequate". Vodafone accessed almost a month's worth of private text messages on a journalist's phone including communications sent from numerous third parties in its hunt to uncover the identity of an employee who it believed had leaked information.
