While monitoring readings from 3 KTY thermistors, unit uses built-in algorithm to detect any steady increase in KTY sensor output. IMTHP provides corrected analog temperature signal, allowing precise and continuous monitoring of actual temperature in motor. It also outputs digital warning/error signal that can be used without complex data processing.

Housed in 6 x 6 mm leadless QFN40 package, Model HVC 4223F supports direct drive of BLDC, BDC, and stepper motors. Integrated digital and analog components include comparators with virtual star point reference, diagnosis, and protection functions; programmable gain amplifier; A/D converter; embedded voltage regulators with up to 40 V load dump; and 6 identical half bridges to drive high currents. HVC 4223F can be directly connected to motor windings without need for external MOSFETs.
