(Telecompaper) European telecoms shares were hammered last week, even more than the general market. Two German altnets raked up the worst losses, Drillisch and United Internet. Greek takeover candidate Forthnet was the week's winner. Year to date, our telecoms index is down 10.0 percent, versus a loss of 3.1 percent for the EuroStoxx 50 index.

Orange Belgium launches VoWiFi, VoLTE in Belgian first

(Telecompaper) Orange Belgium has launched Voice over WiFi and Voice over 4G. The launch, which Orange says is a first for Belgium, means customers will be able to make voice calls on Orange's WiFi, 2G, 3G or 4G networks. Voice over WiFi and Voice over 4G calls will be invoiced as normal voice calls.
