Belgium telecom service revenues return to growth in Q1, led by broadband market

(Telecompaper) Telecompaper's quarterly Belgian Total Communications Market report shows growth came mainly from broadband and TV services, which posted revenues up over 4.5 percent year-on-year. This was supported by steady growth in broadband subscribers, which rose 2.8 percent year-on-year, and annual rate increases at the major operators. Fixed telephony revenues fell nearly 6 percent on a continued fall in connections.

Orange promotes Belgium CEO in reshuffle of management committee

(Telecompaper) Orange CEO Stephane Richard announced a reorganisation of its management committee, which has been composed of fifteen executives since mid-2018. The changes, effective from 01 September, will see Orange Belgium CEO Michael Trabbia join the committee as chief technology and innovation officer, a role previously covered by Mari-Noelle Jego-Laveissiere. Jean-Francois Fallacher will become an associate member, having been named as the new CEO of Orange Spain.

The move means the Orange Belgium board of directors have started looking for a new CEO. They hope to select a successor by the end of June.
