Executives from Switch did not have Michigan on their radar for a new data center until Roger Norman, the owner of the former Steelcase pyramid, mentioned his recent acquisition in a conversation with Rob Roy, the CEO and founder of the Nevada data center giant. That offhand comment led to a visit to Grand Rapids during ArtPrize nine weeks ago, Adam Kramer, senior vice president of strategy for Switch, said in a telephone interview with MLive and the Grand Rapids Press on Monday, Nov. 30.
