"They're not seeing the results they had originally forecast," said L. Michael Ross, president of the Franklin County Area Development Corp. The first stage of the implementation of the Water Pollution Control Fee Collection Regulation will begin on May 1 by focusing on collecting fees for industrial effluent and industrial park sewage systems, according to the Environmental Protection Administration yesterday. The EPA estimates more than 5,188 enterprises will pay fees in the first year totaling around NT$1 billion each year.
