Resin has specific gravity of 1.24 and foam rate of 50%–60%; latter imparts dielectric constant of 1.8–2 to meet cable electrical requirements without requiring significant modifications to existing constructions. By controlling processing conditions, foaming level can be tuned to 20%–70% closed-cell structure utilized in industry.
