Tele2 raises FY outlook again, as mobile service revenue grows 9% in Q3

(Telecompaper) Tele2 has upgraded its outlook for the full year, after a strong quarter of growth in the mobile market in Q3. It now expects mobile service revenue to grow in the high single digits this year, compared to its earlier forecast for a mid single-digit increase. In Q3, mobile service revenue was up 9 percent to SEK 3.927 billion, and in the first nine months of the year, service revenue grew 15 percent.

P3 names Telia best mobile operator in Sweden

(Telecompaper) Consultancy P3 has named Telia the best operator in Sweden in the P3 Connect Mobile Bench 2017. All four Swedish operators were excellent by international comparison, it said. Telia was best overall for the second year in a row, and Tele2 followed in second place after its "enormous" improvement over last year. Telenor Sweden slipped one notch to third but was still rate "very good". Even though Tre came lsat, it showed significant improvement, said P3.

Tata sells consumer mobile ops to Bharti Airtel

(Telecompaper) The Tata Group has agreed to sell its consumer mobile businesses to Bharti Airtel, including all customers and assets. No financial details were disclosed about the deal, except that it will done on a debt- and cash-free basis, except for Bharti assuming a small portion of Tata payments for spectrum. The acquisition will be subject to the usual regulatory approvals. The boards of Tata Sons, TTSL and TTML have already given their green light.
