(Telecompaper) President Obama is expected to name Tom Wheeler, a former head of mobile industry lobby CTIA and the National Cable and Telecommunications Association, as the chairman of the Federal Communications Commission, three people familiar with the matter told the Washington Post. Wheeler would replace outgoing FCC chairman Julius Genachowski, who is expected to step down officially after the FCC's next public meeting on 9 May.
