Air France-KLM estimates Paris attacks impact at 50 mn euros

Paris: The November 13 attacks in Paris had an impact of 50 million euros on last month's revenues, Air France-KLM said Tuesday, but the airline said it saw the effect largely wearing off by the end of December. The French-Dutch airline group said the attacks in which 130 people were killed "significantly impacted" November traffic to and from Paris.

Air France-KLM Tuesday said the Paris terror attacks that left 130 people dead in the French capital cost it 50 million euros in November in lost revenue. "The impact was pretty much concentrated on the local traffic to and from Paris," Pierre-Francois Riolacci, the Franco-Dutch airline's Chief Financial Officer, said in a conference call with reporters on Tuesday.

The French government could be about to stop free public WiFi during a state of emergency and ban anonymous browsing as a result of last month's terror attacks France's government is considering banning public WiFi and anonymous browsing in response to the attacks in Paris last month . The document suggests Francois Hollande's administration wants to "forbid free and shared Wi-Fi connections" because they are harder to track.
