(Telecompaper) T-Mobile Netherlands has launched a 1 Gbps broadband service for the first residents to be connected to its FTTH network in The Hague. The Segbroek area is the first to be covered. The 1 Gbps plan is similar to what T-Mobile offers elsewhere at 750 Mbps. A triple-play package is available for the first months for EUR 32.50 and then will cost EUR 57.50.
France adds record 1.13 mln FTTH homes passed in Q2

(Telecompaper) The number of homes passed by FTTH in France increased by a record 1.13 million in the second quarter to 15.58 million. That's an increase of 32 percent year-on-year, but the roll-out needs to accelerate further, said regulator Arcep in its latest quarterly broadband report.
