Caci wins $46M contract to support Army Peo Eis

CACI International has won a $46 million contract to continue providing software engineering support for the Army's Program Executive Officer Enterprise Information Systems . The PEO EIS develops, acquires, integrates and deploys information technology systems around the world to support Army and Defense Department-wide communications, logistics, medical, finance, personnel, biometrics, training and procurement operations, CACI said in a release.

Boston-based Keryx Biopharmaceuticals has reported what it calls "progress" in the launch of its drug for dialysis patients, called Auryxia, in recent months, including expanded insurance coverage in the U.S., success in contacting potential prescribers and likely European approval in coming months. Keryx , which moved its headquarters to Boston last year from New York City, reported Auryxia sales of just $1.8 million in the second quarter since the drug's launch.

JOB DESCRIPTION Responsibilities Duties Tasks The activities for this Consultancy will include scientific and engineering aspects related to the scientific support to both SLSTR Levell Radiance and Brightness Temperature products and Level2 Sea Surface Temperature products. This will include contributions to the scientific development, maintenance, processors, calibration, validation, verification, routine monitoring and offline analysis of Levell and Level2 SLSTR marine data products in support of the Copernicus Sentinel3 marine mission. The requested support is for the Sentinel3 SLSTR optical mission product chains, but aligning with the other marine activities relating to the mandatory missions. Remotely sensed marine data also originates from the current and future EUMETSA T mandatory satellite programs EPS, EPSSG, MSG, MTG. Several marine products are currently already in operations or are in development from sensors such as A VHRR and IASI on Metop and SEVIRI on MSG and may contribute to the Copernicus services. Such data may be needed to support the validation of Sentinel3 SLSTR data, through continuous intercomparison of collocated products. The consultant will work in a matrix structure providing crossdivisional support to the Copernicus Sentinel3 Operations Team and will be a member of the oceanography team of experts and scientists of the RSPMAsection of the Technical and Science Support Department. The consultant will work at EUMETSA T Headquarters, located in Darmstadt, Germany. The tasks and responsibilities will include Support to the verification and validation oflevel2 products Support to verification and calibration activities for level1 products Support to the development of new tools for calibration andor validation as well as utilisation of existing tools Support to the development of new tools for product processing monitoring as well as utilisation of existing tools Investigation of anomalies and issues related to Level 1 and Level 2 product quality Support to the setup and operation of product quality monitoring and reporting tools Contribution to the analysis, assessment and maintenance of L 1L2 marine satellite data processors and algorithms Contribution to scientific development of algorithms to support CaiN al activities Contribution to the execution of scientific support studies. The support will involve crossdivisional interactions and interface with experts in various disciplines system engineering, instruments, operations, science, as well as CalNal experts outside of EUMETSAT. Scientific support and software engineering consultancy will be sought mainly in the areas of optical imaging for oceanography products, in particular for marine I sea surface temperature products. Qualifications University degree in remote sensing, oceanography, meteorology, physics, or equivalent Required knowledge Good interpersonal skills in support of team work A 5 year or longer experience with satellite Sea Surface Temperature andor visible and infrared data sets Knowledge of the precursor mission to Sentinel3 SLSTR Handson experience with the calibration and validation of remote sensing products Hands on experience with the development of calibration andor product validation methods Experience with operational satellite data processing Very good 5 years or longer scientific programming language skills including C, IDLIPVWave, ENVI or equivalent and optionally Fortran, Python Skills in writing technical and scientific documents Familiarity with Microsoft Office. Desirable Knowledge The following experience would be highly desirable Experience in the development and validation of satellite data processing Experience with large data sets Handson experience with the development of calibration andor product validation methods.
