Tests Confirm Toxic Algae in Ross Island Lagoon

PORTLAND, Ore. - The Oregon Department of Environmental Quality has confirmed that samples taken from the Ross Island Lagoon in the Willamette River on Wednesday are positive for toxic blue-green algae, also known as "cyanobacteria" The algae is a form of bacteria harmful to humans.
