West Balkans regional roaming agreement enters into force

(Telecompaper) Mobile phone users in Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, Montenegro, North Macedonia and Serbia pay less while roaming within the region since 01 July. Calls are up to eight times cheaper, and costs for data drop on average from EUR 3/MB to EUR 0.20/MB.

KKR sells Balkans cable operator United to BC Partners

(Telecompaper) KKR has agreed to sell the Balkans cable operator United Group to fellow private equity fund BC Partners. KKR will retain a "substantial minority stake" after the deal, it said. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed, while sources familiar with the matter told the Wall Street Journal that the deal values United at around EUR 2.6 billion including debt.
