Enbridge Inc. is reporting a $383 million net loss in the first quarter, mostly as a result of currency fluctations, and lower adjusted earnings that came in below analyst estimates. Analysts had estimated 58 cents per share of adjusted earnings, according to Thomson Reuters, down from $492 million or 60 cents per share in last year's first quarter.

Motorola Mobility said a U.S. jury ordered the company to pay $10.2 million in damages for using Fujifilm Corp's patented technology in its phones without permission. Fujifilm Corp, a subsidiary of Tokyo-based Fujifilm Holdings Corp, sued Motorola in 2012, accusing the company of infringing three of its patents on digital camera functions and a fourth patent relating to transmitting data over a wireless connection such as Bluetooth.
FedEx Pledges $1 Million in Aid to Support Relief of Nepal Earthquake Disaster

FedEx Corp. has committed approximately $1 million in cash, transportation support and a chartered flight to deliver critical medical aid and supplies to Nepal in the wake of last week's devastating earthquake. The Memphis-based global transportation and logistics company is mobilizing its disaster relief program through its existing relationships with Direct Relief, Heart to Heart International, Water Missions International, American Red Cross and The Salvation Army.
