Emcore's shareholders on Friday approved the sale of all of the assets used in EMCORE's space photovoltaics business to SolAero Technologies Corp. The company announced in September it was selling its Albuquerque-based space photovoltaics business to Veritas Capital for $150 million in cash. The shareholder vote on Friday finalized the deal, which will close on Dec. 10, according to a release from the company.

UNFI quarterly net income rises 19 percent to $33 million

United Natural Foods Inc., which operates a distribution center in Conewago Township, said Thursday that net income rose 19 percent to $33 million in the quarter ended Nov. 1. UNFI earned 66 cents a share for the first quarter of its fiscal 2015 year, up from 56 cents a share in the first quarter of fiscal 2014. The company topped the expectations of analysts who forecast the Providence, R.I.-based distributor of organic,natural and specialty foods would earn 63 cents a share for the quarter.
