A federal jury in California awarded nearly $186 million to a San Diego area woman who sued AutoZone Inc. saying she was demoted and fired after being told pregnant women can't do the job of managing a store, her attorney said on Tuesday. "This is the third or fourth time they've been hit with punitive damages for doing the same thing," said attorney Sean Simpson, who is part of the legal team representing plaintiff Rosario Juarez, 43. "Let's hope they get the message."

After more than two decades, a nearly-vacant shopping center near Bowie High School is set to be demolished and redeveloped into a high-end residential complex and shopping center. The project hinges on a deal between Rockville-based property owner Berman Enterprises and Harris Teeter, which will serve as the critical “grocery anchor” store, and the city of Bowie pledged nearly $1 million Monday night to ensure the deal goes through.

The sale of the Series A Stock will take place in multiple tranches.

Nov. 17, 2014: The National Automobile Dealers Association forecasts 16.94 million new cars and light trucks will be purchased or leased in the United States in 2015. "Rising employment and wages, continued low interest rates and lower gasoline prices all signal an increase in new light-vehicle sales in 2015," NADA Chief Economist Steven Szakaly said today at a press briefing ahead of the NADA / J.D. Power Western Automotive Conference in Los Angeles.
