Medical waste found in Arkansas River in eastern Oklahoma

The Oklahoma Department of Environmental Quality says medical waste including used vials and syringes has been found in the Arkansas River in eastern Oklahoma. Agency spokeswoman Erin Hatfield says the department was notified Monday of the discovery in Pawnee County and will send investigators to the scene about 60 miles west of Tulsa "in the next few days."

Plane lands in Fargo after woman suffers medical emergency

A United Airlines jet flying from Anchorage, Alaska, to Chicago made an unscheduled landing at Fargo's Hector International Airport early Monday after a passenger suffered a medical emergency. Police tell KFGO radio that paramedics met the plane when it landed about 3:30 a.m. and took a woman from the plane to a hospital.
