Standard Description Issue 1 October 2015 Summary The Web Applications Software Developer for Space Activities will take part of software development projects in an international and multicultural environment for the space sector. This position will be based in Transinne Belgium, but it is possible that travels and missions may happen related to the position activities. Duties As part of the project team, the baseline tasks of the Web Applications Software Developer will be to Write software requirements specifications, Analyse, design and produce technical architecture, Implement software systems according to requirements and architecture design, Test and validate software systems, Maintain and support existing software systems, Perform training for internal and customer needs, Write technical documents and reports at all stages of the software development process. In addition, the Web Applications Software Developer may be asked to provide support to activities which are not directly linked with this job description but which are related to the skills and experience required by this position. The Web Applications Software Developer reports to the Software and Applications Unit Manager for what concerns the linemanagement. The Web Applications Software Developer reports to the Project Manager for what concerns the project he is allocated to. Education and experience BachelorMaster degree in computer science, Solid experience in the technical fields listed in the mandatory computer skills, Professional experience in the Space field is advantageous. Language skills English fluent mandatory, French knowledge advantageous, Customerpartners languageculture is an asset. Computer skills Mandatory Objectoriented analysis with knowledge in UML, Objectoriented programming on Java J2EE, Experience in integrated development environments such as Eclipse or similar, User experience with version control software such as SubversionGITCVS, Experience with relational databases and RDBMS such as MySQLPostgres. Advantageous Objectoriented programming on Python and C, Knowledge on software testing tools such as JUnit, Mockito, Jacoco, Knowledge on ORM frameworks such as Hibernate or EclipseLink, Knowledge on Vaadin and GWT, Knowledge on JavaScript, Knowledge on OpenLayers Leaflet, Knowledge on MavenIvy, Knowledge on Eclipse Rich Client Platform RCP, Knowledge with message brokers such as ActiveMQRabbitMQ. Certificates and licenses Java certified programmer or developer is an asset, Car driving licence. Required soft skills Strong collaboration skills, work as a team member, Analytical and critical thinking, good sense of organization of work, Rigor, accuracy, reliability, Effective oral and written communication skills, Ability to work in a changing environment, openminded, Ability to work under pressure, to handle high level of workload.
