The former CEO of a company that provides catering services to sports venues across North America has pleaded guilty to animal cruelty charges after he was videotaped in a Vancouver elevator kicking a puppy. Desmond Hague, who resigned from Centerplate Inc. last year, pleaded guilty Tuesday to one count of causing an animal to be in distress.

Ex-VP 'Remorseful' in Homicide Plea

Former PPG Industries senior vice president Robert J. Dellinger has pleaded guilty to killing a pregnant woman, her fiance and their fetus in a deliberate head-on collision that he called a suicide attempt. Robert "Bob" Dellinger, 54, of Sunapee, NH, faces up to 24 years in prison when he is sentenced in April.

Guilty plea to generator theft

A Newark woman who rented two generators from United Rentals on Pike Street but never returned the machines pleaded guilty to a fifth-degree felony charge of theft in Washington County Common Pleas Court Tuesday. Samantha J. Thompson, 28, of 17 W. Shields St., Newark, but now living in Charleston, W.Va., according to defense attorney Nancy Brum, was indicted on the theft charge by a Washington County grand jury on May 31. "On March 6, 2014 the defendant and another individual went to United Rentals at 1205 Pike St. in Marietta and leased two generators for a 24-hour period," explained Washington County Assistant Prosecutor Kevin Rings.
