IR Emitters reduce component count while increasing intensity.
2015-04-15 14:31:06| Industrial Newsroom - All News for Today
Comprising one leaded 5 mm IR emitter with parabolic lens and 8 SMD devices in 0805, PLCC-2, top-looking and side-looking packages, high-speed 940 nm IR emitters employ SurfLight™ surface emitter chip technology. Emission of nearly all light and power from top of chip results in radiant intensity ratings up to 600 mW/sr (leaded) or 10–120 mW/sr (SMD). Respectively, angles of half intensity for leaded and SMD devices are ±3° and ±9° to ±60°. Rise and fall times are 10 nsec.

Reduce soil compaction, increase productivity
2015-04-14 22:43:00| Corn & Soybean Digest
Field traffic lanes register 66% more compaction than growing zones on this farm. Charlie Hammer has never done the same thing for too long, except when it comes to wheels on soil. He has deliberately traveled the same controlled-traffic lanes on his Beaver Dam, Wis., farm to limit soil compaction. read more

Micro-D Connectors reduce size, weight in miniature electronics.
2015-04-13 14:31:06| Industrial Newsroom - All News for Today
Combining two functions into one plug-in contact system, Micro-D connectors features power contacts that handle size 20 to 24 AWG wire and suit 7 A plus, as well as signal contacts that can handle up to 3 A. Micro-D shells offer standard format and achieve rugged miniaturization. Shell size is adjustable to pin count, and board termination formats include right-angle and straight thru-hole mounting. Connector shells can be jack-screw mating style or Latching Micro-D style.
