Telefonica to give up 20% of network capacity to Drillisch
2014-06-25 11:15:00| Telecompaper Headlines
(Telecompaper) Telefonica Deutschland has signed an agreement with mobile services provider Drillisch through which the latter will acquire 20 percent of the capacity of all mobile networks controlled by Telefonica Deutschland following the completion of its merger with E-Plus Group. This is in addition to the network capacity needed to provide services to Drillisch's existing customers hosted on the Telefonica Deutschland or E-Plus networks. The 20 percent level will be reached gradually over a 5-year period. In addition, Drillisch will have the right to acquire up to 10 percent additional capacity of those networks. The agreement will only become effective if the EC conditionally clears the takeover of E-Plus and confirms that the deal complies with any conditions and obligations attached to the approval.
