Tanger donates to Lewes Fire Department

Realizing the importance of the all volunteer fire department, the Tanger Factory Outlet Centers donated $1,000 to the Lewes Fire Department Oct. 9. Amy Norgate, outlet general manager, said the company enjoys supporting the local municipalities and first responders. The Lewes Fire Department helps us at Tanger Midway and all with all of our other projects, she said.

Accomplishments: Implementing U.S. Department of Justice Settlement

Under Mayor Hales leadership the Police Bureau started implementing aspects of the U.S. Department of Justice police reform agreement long before Federal Judge Michael Simon approved it on Aug. 29, 2014. The settlement stems from a 2012 federal investigation. Mayor Hales has been working with the bureau to improve relations with the community.
