Requirements PhD or Master degree in Telecommunication Engineering with particular emphasis on digital communication system and subsystem techniques, highspeed processing techniques for communication via satellites. Knowledge of satellite communication architectures and techniques. Experience in analysis and design of modern digital communication systems, coding and synchronization issues. Familiarity with modern communication system and subsystem simulation techniques, as a minimum Matlab and CC program languages. Knowledge of modern prototyping and testing methodologies for digital communication subsystems is also preferred. Strong technical background in telecommunication engineering and knowledge of the relevant communication protocols. Knowledge of the main satellite and wireless terrestrial telecom standards. Experience with communication system HW prototyping and testing e.g. FPGA, DSP, GPU, microprocessors. Broad technical expertise in telecommunication networks design with particular emphasis on physical and link layer, and good understanding of multiple access telecommunication protocols. Strong knowledge and experience in the simulation of complex telecom links at physical and MAC layers.

Ground Segment System Engineer 1813032 Job Description We are looking for a Ground Segment System Engineer for our client EUMETSAT. You shall contribute to maintaining the overall system design documentation of the existing and future systems and multimission elements MMEs. When evolutions of these systems are proposed and implemented, you shall analyse them and verify the system and interfaces coherence. In the role of service to the maintenance and evolution activities of the operational programmes MSG, EPS, JASON, the tasks shall include Contribute to the System Requirements Definition process andor maintaining existing requirements baselines. Contribute to the maintenance, for all the operational ground systems, of a complete and consistent set of System Technical Documentation and the baseline. Contribute to the creation of System Engineering models of Ground Systems using an MBSE approach andor maintaining existing model baselines. Perform technical analysis of system architecture and specification evolutions or major upgrades of the operational ground systems, for interfaces coherence and compatibility check with other ongoing developments. Contribute to the IVV testing approach for major evolutions of the operational ground systems and contribute to the coordination of the installation, integration and verification of new systems into the operational infrastructure. Provide support to the definition of the IVV approach for the future ground systems. Required Skills and Experience Experience in the analysis of systems applications and modelling. Experience in the field of Systems Engineering and architectural design for ground segment systems. Capability to prepare system requirements and design documents, and to perform systemlevel analyses for complex satellitebased systems. Experience of writing technical requirements preferably to ECSS standards. Experience of interface management and definition. Familiarity with mechanisms and tools for detailed interface definition. Capability to prepare and manage ICD. Use of modelling and design languages for System Engineering e.g. SysML and tools in support of architectural design activities e.g. Vitech CORE, Enterprise Architect. Knowledge of space and ground system engineering processes, and system and software lifecycles and standards. Experience in Model Based Systems Engineering MBSE methods, techniques and tools. Definition, management and traceability of requirements structure with the support of dedicated tools e.g. DOORS. Experience in Integration, Verification and Validation IVV of complex systems.
