MTS sees revenue growth slowing from 9% in Q1

(Telecompaper) Revenues of Russian operator MTS increased by 8.9 percent year-on-year to RUB 119.6 billion in the first quarter, led by solid growth in its home market. Group adjusted OIBDA rose 1.6 percent to RUB 51.5 billion, and net profit increased by 0.8 percent to RUB 17.7 billion. Nevertheless, MTS lowered its outlook for the full year due to the uncertain economic outlook, saying it now expects revenues flat to 3 percent higher and OIBDA flat to 2 percent lower. Capex is still expected at around RUB 90 billion, after increased spending of RUB 19.9 billion in Q1.

Vodafone maintains div on underlying FY growth, sees lower EBITDA in new year

(Telecompaper) Vodafone Group reported revenues for the year to March up 3.0 percent to EUR 45.0 billion, helped by its takeover of Liberty Global's cable assets and underlying service revenue growth of 0.8 percent to EUR 37.9 billion. Adjusted EBITDA rose 2.6 percent on an organic basis to EUR 14.9 billion, in line with its outlook, and Vodafone said the result is likely to be flat to slightly lower in the new year.

Zoom Video beats earnings outlook, sees further strong growth in new year

(Telecompaper) Zoom Video Communications reported better-than-expected results for its fiscal fourth quarter to January and full year. Quarterly revenues jumped 78 percent year-on-year to USD 188.3 million, and adjusted operating profit more than tripled, to USD 38.4 million from USD 9.8 million a year earlier. Net profit improved to USD 15.3 million from USD 1.2 million, and the adjusted EPS rose to USD 0.15, double the 7 cents forecast.

Telefonica meets FY growth targets, sees stable results in 2020

(Telecompaper) Telefonica reported annual revenues up 3.2 percent on an organic basis and OIBDA rose 1.9 percent, meeting the company's outlook for around 2 percent growth in 2019. Net debt also fell for an 11th consecutive quarter and was down 8 percent over the year to EUR 37.7 billion. For 2020, the Spanish operator forecast stable revenues, OIBDA and operating cash flow as a percentage of revenue.
