Wireless Sensor and App measure coating thickness.
2016-01-07 14:31:05| Industrial Newsroom - All News for Today
Combining precise measurements, resistance to interference, and wireless technology, SmarTest version of SIDSP® Sensors relay digitally generated readings to smartphone or tablet via Bluetooth. Readings exceeding set limits are indicated on sensor's green/red LED. SmarTest App provides clear display of current measuring value, statistical evaluation, storage of measuring values in files, 2-point calibration, measuring unit metric/imperial switchover, and export of measurements in CSV format.

NIST Researchers measure and modulate trapped light.
2015-12-28 14:31:10| Industrial Newsroom - All News for Today
Researchers working at NIST have developed novel way to non-invasively measure and map how and where trapped light vibrates within microscale optical resonators. New technique not only makes for more accurate measurements but also allows scientists to fine-tune trapped light’s frequency by subtly altering shape of resonator itself. Visualizing vibration patterns will help scientists to perfect ultrasensitive optical sensors for detecting biomolecules and even single atoms.

Circuit Monitoring Sensors measure currents up to 160 A.
2015-12-15 14:31:07| Industrial Newsroom - All News for Today
Measuring currents up to 160 A (AC and DC, TRMS), circuit monitoring system (CMS) sensors come in cable tie- and DIN rail-mount versions and can be installed in almost every environment with diverse products. Sensors help increase availability and energy efficiency of electrical plants and machinery. Capable of monitoring all branches to ensure system continuity, sensors can also perform rough cost allocations on branch level when used with controller.
