Dutch mobile market contracts 4% in 2019, T-Mobile outperforms to gain number-2 spot
2020-03-17 10:03:00| Telecompaper Headlines
(Telecompaper) Tough competition in both the consumer and business markets led to lower service revenues at KPN and Vodafone in 2019, according to Telecompaper's latest Dutch Mobile Operators report. KPN lost mobile customers over the year, due in part to its decision to discontinue the Telfort brand, but remained market leader with nearly 40 percent of revenue, down from 42.5 percent in 2018. Vodafone showed a small increase in customer numbers, but revenues were still lower, and the company also lost almost 2.5 percent points of market share to reach just over 30 percent for the year.
