Altice drops Virgin Mobile brand in France

(Telecompaper) Altice has dropped the Virgin Mobile brand in France, marking the completion of the MVNO's integration with the low-cost brand Red by SFR, AFP reports. Altice started closing Virgin Mobile stores earlier this year, then stopped selling smartpones and fixed plans online. Now Altice has ceased sales of Virgin Mobile products, but existing customers are not migrated automatically. Those who want to move to Red by SFR are sent a new Sim card, contract and request for direct debit.
