Dual Band Amplifier runs automotive radar pulse tests.

2015-05-21 14:31:07| Industrial Newsroom - All News for Today

Optimized for maximum power in 1.2–1.4 GHz and 2.7–3.1 GHz radar bands, Model AS0104-800/400 can be used at saturation to produce maximum continuous wave power of >800 W and >400 W, respectively. Amplifier offers harmonics below -20 dBc, even at saturation. Increase in power allows amplifier to run entire 600 V/m at 1 m radar pulse test using single horn antenna. Unit output is suitable for all EMC loads and remote operation is available via IEEE, USB, LAN, or RS232.

Ikanos achieves 1 Gbps over copper in Asian lab tests

2015-05-21 08:51:00| Telecompaper Headlines

(Telecompaper) Ikanos Communications announced that it has successfully demonstrated in OEM lab trials data rates in excess of 1 Gbps at a distance of 100m over existing hybrid fibre-copper networks in Japan and Korea. A first in the industry, the demonstration offers the possibility of upgrading speeds ten-fold on existing VDSL connections. Ikanos said the test did not impact existing VDSL data rates. In addition, the VDSL fallback feature will ensure backwards compatibility with deployed CPE. Ikanos' technology is optimised to co-exist with the VDSL 30a profile widely deployed in Japan and Korea, which helped Ikanos first roll-out 100 Mbps in the countries. Japan and Korea together count over 6 million VDSL subscribers.
