Southwest Airlines brings back non-stop flights from Tucson to Houston

Southwest Airlines tells KGUN that success from non-stop flights in November and December of 2014 prompted them to bring the flights back again this year. In addition to the non-stop flights directly to Houston, there will be connections to airports in Florida, the southeast U.S., Dallas Love Field, Washington Reagan National Airport, LaGuardia Aiport in New York and Louis Armstrong New Orleans International.

Southwest Airlines adds new international destinations from Hobby Airport

Amid a wave of bouncing beach balls at Houston City Hall, Southwest Airlines announced two new international destinations from Hobby Airport this fall. Flights to Montego Bay, Jamaica, and Liberia, Costa Rica, will begin Nov. 1 out of Hobby's $156 million international terminal , currently under construction.

Singapore Airlines books big fuel hedging loss, downbeat on outlook

May 14 Singapore Airlines Ltd on Thursday reported a full-year fuel hedging loss of S$549 million as a result of falling oil prices and also highlighted fierce competition and soft demand on its key routes. Singapore's flag carrier reported a 58 percent rise in operating profit to S$409.4 million in the year ending March, supported by lower fuel costs.
