The main tasks are divided between real time onconsole operations and offline office tasks. Real time tasks Monitoring, Operation and Safing of hardware and software related to onboard subsystems as required using predefined procedures and other operational products Responsible for providing operations information of the Columbus systems to other teams as required per operations. Perform resource management and coordination with International partners for system and Payload requirements of power and bandwidth. The COLUMBUS emergency, Warning, Caution and Saving EWACs functions as, e.g. smoke detection, fire suppression and other safety related issues, are monitored by STRATOS. STRATOS performs realtime coordination and supports the resolution of Columbus systemtopayload interface anomalies. Furthermore STRATOS is responsible for online monitoring and control of the Columbus DMS hardware and software.
