Project Controller to Ground Segment Projects

Specific Tasks The project control service shall be provided to the Head of the Programme and Project Control Unit, responsible for professional standards and generic programmeproject control matters and to the respective ground segment project managers pending endorsement by the Head of the Programme and Project Control Unit or a nominated Programme and Project Control Unit staff member. The project control service supports the project management in the implementation of their industrial and ESA internal activities, in accordance with the approved budget and in agreement with the established administration processes and the ESA contractual and financial regulations, and in the preparation of plans and reports concerning the project aspects i.e. cost, schedule, documentation, technical progress of the work, with the aim to provide full visibility on all activities related to resources. The service to be provided covers the following tasks Preparation and maintenance of project costatcompletions Support in the preparation of project management plans Maintenance of the structure and contents of project related documentation in the Directorates document management system Ensuring consistency between the Work Breakdown Structures and the Planning and the ProjectInternal budgets Implementation of control procedures and planning to provide full visibility on all project related technical, contractual and managerial activities Contributions to the annual ESA Controlling Work Plan and the financial asset management process Identification of problem areas and proposal of remedial actions and replanning as required Preparation of ESA management reports e.g. manpower, cost, schedule and technical progress of the work. Location ESA Headquarters, Paris, France Description Project Controller in the Operating Planning and Business Unit Controlling Office, Directorate of Space Transportation. Specific Qualification Requirements The ideal candidate has a Bachelors degree from a recognised Institution of secondary studies or equivalent qualification in Business Administration or Communications as relevant. Heshe is proficient in the English language, both written and spoken, and heshe is a quick learner, diligent and accurate. Heshe is able to work autonomously and with initiative whilst remaining a team player. Service orientated. Nice to have Familiarity with SAP and good proficiency in MS Excel is highly desirable Knowledge of Inventory Management. Location The work will be performed at the European Space Research and Technology Centre ESTEC based in Noordwijk, The Netherlands. Contract The selected candidate will receive a permanent contract with Altran Netherlands and a fair remuneration in line with ESA Job Class. Will be registered for both social security and tax in the Netherlands. The standard working hours are 40 per week. There are 12 public holidays and an additional 30 annual days holiday. Focus of this position is on the administrative implementation of procurement actions, and on the maintenance and planning of contracts financial data. The Key Person requires appropriate skills and specific experience in the following fields Proficient in the English language, both written and spoken, knowledge of another official ESA language is an asset. Experience in controlling andor management of activities and resources in aerospace industry. For some tasks knowledge of FinanceAccounting may be required.
