Officers with the Mounties' Explosives Demolition Unit were in South Surrey Wednesday night after a "suspicious item" was found outside a gas station at 152 Street and King George Boulevard. Police say staff at the Petro Canada alerted them to the item just before 8 p.m. It was found on the northeast side of the property.
