The U.S. Department of Commerce said Tuesday it would impose duties on imports of non-oriented electrical steel, which is used in generators, motors, and transformers, from China, Japan, Germany, Sweden, South Korea, and Taiwan. The fees range from 6.88% for South Korean companies such as Daewoo International to up to 407.52% for some Chinese companies.
