Our client is a new joint venture between two large European space companies. Using their long heritage in the space industry, they are developing the nextgeneration European launchers and manned space vehicles. They have several offices in Germany and France, those in Germany are located in Bremen and Munich. Currently they are heavily involved in the development of Europes most advanced launcher and looking for a PMP Engineer for both the Ariane 5 and Ariane 6 programmes. Tasks and Responsibilities The job holder is responsible for the improvement of parts, materials and processes of Arianne 5 and 6. The main tasks are broken down as follows Selection of materials and processes for launchers and space industry Definition of key parameters for manufacturing processes Support for qualification of new materials and processes Definition of inspection and test procedures Testing of metallic materials Treatment of nonconformances Establishment of lists of materials, mechanical parts and processes. Requirements University degree in Aerospace engineering or equivalent At least 2 years experience in materials and processes engineering for spacecraft andor launcher systems A good knowledge in metallic and nonmetallic materials, gases and fluids A good knowledge on physicalchemical methods of analysis Good knowledge of SAP and MSOffice Experience with metallic materials and joining technology, e.g. soldering or welding would be a plus Fluency in English.
