After the "chipgate" event of the iPhone 6s - in which Samsung-manufactured A9 processors were rumored to perform worse than those built by Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company - a new report suggests that Apple may give its South Korean frenemy the boot, and award 100 percent of its iPhone 7 A10 chip orders to TSMC. The report comes courtesy of HSBC bank, which has raised its opinion on TSMC stock from Neutral to Buy - claiming that the company will regain 100 percent market share of Apple's A10 production in 2016.

TOKYO, Dec 2 Japanese smartphone parts maker TDK Corp expects to win more orders next year from a major North American customer whose high-end phones are set to carry improved features, its chief executive said, in a reference to Apple Inc and its iPhones. "Expectations for the next year are high," Takehiro Kamigama told Reuters in an interview on Wednesday, suggesting that the next-generation iPhone is expected to carry more of its high-frequency filters per handset.

Apple Music adds streaming for wireless Sonos speakers

" Apple is adding a missing element to its streaming music service by making it possible for home listeners to send tunes from Apple Music to WiFi-enabled speakers made by Sonos. The two companies say Apple Music subscribers who own Sonos sound systems will be able to play a "beta" version of Apple Music through the Sonos app starting Dec. 15. A final version will be released early next year.
