Stratford is suing a U.S. guardrail manufacturer for a hefty $500 million for providing the city with an allegedly dangerous and defective designed guardrail. The city's claim, which was obtained by ABC News during their investigation of the company's ongoing troubles, alleges that Trinity Industries of Dallas "misled its customers" by not divulging "secret" alterations it had made to its ET-Plus guardrail system.

Insurer files lawsuit in 2013 fire at St-Albert cheese co-op

The insurer for St-Albert Cheese Co-op Inc. is suing the co-op's former electrician and four other defendants - alleging the fire that destroyed the 120-year-old company's factory two years ago was caused by flaws in the electrical system. The insurer, RSA Canada, gave notice of the action in a claim filed in Ontario Superior Court earlier this month.
