A New Front Opens In The War Against Big Sugar
2013-08-05 09:14:17| Sugar Industry News
Sadly, this time it seems to be my native Britain that is being taken in by the propaganda. You know, this idea that sugar is uniquely evil, that in fact its the fructose thats the really bad part of it and we must therefore tax, tax, tax in order to beat that Big Sugar that is sucking the very lives and souls out of our children. The truth is that theres very little actual science behind the basic allegations and a lot of science to say that those allegations are nonsense. Theres also good old plain logic that we can deploy to test the ideas. Logical tests that the ideas fail rather badly.

The new factory would not be anything like the Lantic Inc. facility in Taber, however, which takes the regions iconic sugar beets and turns them into consumable sugar, but the hopes are the new venture will be just as profitable for local growers.
