Tucson real estate market picking up steam

TUCSON, AZ - The Tucson Association of Realtors is predicting that the Tucson real estate market is on track for its "best year since 2006." RealtyTrac said Tucson is among the 23 markets where single-family home sales were at a 10-year high in the first half of 2015.

Village now charges real estate agents to display "for sale" signs

Officials in Corrales, a village just north of Albuquerque, New Mexico, surprised real estate agents this week when they hung black plastic bags over 35 "For Sale" signs in an effort to finally enforce a local ordinance, an article in the Albuquerque Journal said. The article explained that in 2009 the town passed an ordinance which charges real estate agents a $35 fee for every sign.

US new-home sales fell 6.8 pct. in June; possible sign of hot real estate market cooling off

Fewer Americans bought new homes in June, a possible sign that the real estate market might not be as hot as it appeared at the start of summer. The Commerce Department said Friday that new-home sales slumped 6.8 per cent last month to a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 482,000.
