Coming up to two years after Duke Energy announced plans to provide clean energy contracts for industrial-sized users, the pilot program remains untapped. In its first annual filing for the Green Source Rider, approved in December 2013, Charlotte-based Duke says it is in negotiations with data centers, manufacturers and college campuses as potential customers.

ClimateWire: The Department of Energy is terminating financing of the FutureGen 2.0 project, ending construction plans for one of the most expensive and high-profile carbon capture proposals in the world.
