Guardian: The British wind power industry installed 1.7GW of new capacity last year, coming second only to Germany, which built a massive 5.2GW of new capacity during 2014. New figures from the European Wind Energy Association (EWEA) on Tuesday reveal nearly 11.8GW of wind power was added to the grid across the European Union in 2014, accounting for 43.7% of all new electricity generation. In comparison, coal added 3.3GW of new capacity and gas added 2.3GW, securing wind powers position as the fastest-growing...

Application Of The Mesuro Active Load-Pull System In Doherty Power Amplifier Design And Optimization
2015-02-10 12:32:03| rfglobalnet Home Page
In general terms, power amplifiers used in communications systems must be large enough to amplify envelope peaks. This leads to amplifiers that are designed to offer the best efficiency at peak power, while actually spending most of the time operating inefficiently, amplifying smaller signals. With the advancement in next generation communication systems, which employ signals with ever increasing peak to average ratio, the pressures on the PA design continue to grow.

Federal government won't investigate Green Mountain Power
2015-02-10 06:28:58| Energy - Topix.net
MONTPELIER >> The Federal Trade Commission won't open a formal investigation into Green Mountain Power's marketing of renewable energy, but is cautioning Vermont's largest power company to be clear in its communications with the public. The Environmental and Natural Resources Law Clinic at Vermont Law School had complained to the federal agency in September that GMP was making claims in Vermont about power coming from renewable sources, when credits for reducing carbon pollution are being sold out-of-state.
