B&W Awarded $35M To Supply Equipment To AK Power Plant

The Babcock & Wilcox Company announced today that its subsidiary, Babcock & Wilcox Power Generation Group, Inc., has been awarded a contract for more than $35 million to design and manufacture two boilers and air quality control equipment for a power plant owned by the University of Alaska Fairbanks. The two B&W PGG circulating fluidized bed boilers each will be capable of producing up to 140,000 pounds per hour of steam for campus heating and power.
