Authorities said a Southwest Airlines flight headed from Indianapolis to Los Angeles was diverted Sunday to Kansas City International airport due to "unruly" passengers. FBI spokeswoman Bridget Patton said three people were detained for questioning after Flight 5929 landed about 7:50 a.m. The other passengers were removed so police dogs could search the aircraft.

Three passengers questioned by the FBI about allegedly suspicious behavior aboard a Southwest Airlines jet from Indianapolis to Los Angeles were booked onto a later flight after the plane was diverted to Kansas City, the airline said today. Southwest Flight 5929 was diverted to Kansas City International Airport at approximately 7:50 a.m. Sunday, according to a statement from Southwest Airlines' headquarters in Dallas.

Four passengers were taken off a Spirit Airlines Inc flight at Baltimore on Tuesday after one who appeared to be Muslim viewed what another passenger thought was an Islamic State video, a government source said. Initial checks of the three men and a woman and their baggage found nothing suspicious, said the source, who spoke on condition of anonymity.
