As a member of our IT Support group, you will provide system administration support services to our customer, providing 1st and 2nd level support to the customers mission critical GNULinux and Solaris systems. Qualifications Competencies Applicants shall have a suitable educational level, such as a university degree in a relevant technical subject. You should have proven knowledge and work experience on GNULinux operating systems and Solaris. Solaris and Linux System Engineer or Administrator. This is a permanent position, calling for at least 5 years experience of Solaris and Linux system administration in high availability environments. You will be placed on assignment based near Frankfurt in Germany for several years. The requirement is for a start as soon as possible and certainly within three months. Our client is responsible for establishing and operating weather forecasting and Earth observation satellite programmes with associated data telemetry and dissemination operations. Vast quantities of data are produced and user communities throughout the world are able to access both current and historical data sets. The demanding realtime environment places much emphasis on adherence to quality and configuration management standards and procedures. The main working language is English.
